20.11.2014 | Wasserbillig, Luxembourg – The pjur group is forging ahead: After a successful product launch in Singapore, the company is now embarking on distribution in China – one of the world’s most important new markets.
 


 
Orange Adult welcomes pjurThe premium lubricant company has made extensive preparations for this launch in recent years: “The Chinese market is unusual in terms of its nature and approaches, and it is unlike any other. That meant that right from the start, it was important to us to find the right partners who were familiar with the mindset and the legal sales and distribution requirements of the market and at the same time would be able to put the philosophy and strategy of our brand into practice there,” explains Alexander Giebel, CEO and founder of the pjur group.
 
pjur ultimately found just the partner it was looking for in the company GZ Banquet. GZ Banquet is a wholesaler with a wealth of experience and prestige that will market the pjur products on an exclusive basis in China. The company has its own warehouse in Guangzhou, in the south of China, which allows GZ Banquet to deliver merchandise to any retailer in China that wishes to sell pjur products within 24 hours. This enables simple, fast, and above all customer-oriented processes.
 
Retailers also added pjur products to their assortment: Orange Adult, the biggest erotic shop chain in China not only operates nearly 1000 stores of its own and franchised throughout China, but also runs China’s largest online erotic store X.com.cn, which makes pjur products available to any end customer, regardless of region. The presentation of the pjur portfolio will be complete at all stores by late November, and online sales are already running at full speed.
 
Appropriate strategies have already been coordinated for the next year in order to raise awareness and spread pjur across all sales and distribution channels in China. “Due to the country’s sheer size and the fact that China has a mindset all its own, Western companies often have a hard time gaining a foothold in China. But now, with these partnerships, we have made great strides and positioned ourselves outstandingly with the three mainstays of retail, wholesale, and e-commerce,” Alexander says. Once again, ANME Founders Show in Los Angeles was a great success for pjur this year. The biggest brands of the erotic industry met here from January 07 to 09 to present their latest products.

There was particularly great interest in pjur group’s innovative and unique product videos. pjur had produced next-generation clips for their lubricants. Apart from regular information videos that describe the products, pjur now also offers humorous clips that leave the viewers with a smile on their face. Whether a small car that doesn’t have enough room for everything you want to put in the trunk – to explain the assets of pjur BACK DOOR glide – or the example of spilling and dribbling in every ordinary situation to show the advantages of the drip-free pjur Toy Lube: pjur has managed to demonstrate the qualities of its products by using everyday life settings in a way the market has not seen before. The focus is shifting away from videos that show lots of skin, and moving towards clips that convince by humor and wit. The enthused visitors of ANME Founders Show could take these videos home with them on pjur USB sticks, courtesy of the Luxembourg-based lubricant producer.

The response from the American retailers and distributors was overwhelming. “More and more people are interested in the pjur brand and ask specifically for pjur products in stores all over the world.”

The popularity of pjur could also be seen at the ANME booth: There was a great number of pre-arranged appointments, and the event turned out a fantastic platform for pjur to present new products, which in turn resulted in numerous new orders. “The event was a success in every respect,” says Alexander Giebel, CEO and founder of pjur group. “We are looking forward to the next show in Los Angeles come July, where we’ll be presenting our new pjur products again.”

Congratulations to the two winners of our raffle. There was a record number of registrations at the pjur stand this year, and therefore the lottery wheel was brimful on both days.

It has become a tradition that pjur raffles off two iPad’s at the eroFame trade convention. Several hundred participants seized the opportunity to register, and at 18:00 on Wednesday and Thursday, they flocked to the pjur stand with their ticket number. After all, the winner had to be at the stand in person, and with his ticket, to get the new iPad 3 Wi-Fi+4G/16GB.

There was great excitement when the winners were announced, especially on the second day, when a second number had to be drawn because the original winner didn’t step to the fore in time. But, just like last year, a great many of the 3,200 participants of the trade show had gathered at the pjur stand, so a new winner was found quickly.

This year, Dame Fortune smiled upon two members of the California Exotic Novelties team. Our lady luck drew the numbers of Lupe Martinez and Austin Ferdinand.
