19.06.2026 | Chatsworth, California – AVN has announced its support of two educational seminars taking place during the upcoming ANME Founders Show in Burbank, California, scheduled for July 12–15. This year’s event marks the 30th anniversary of the trade-only exhibition dedicated to the adult novelty industry.
Hosted by an AVN Hall of Fame member and longtime pleasure products expert, the sessions will explore key topics affecting retailers today, including customer engagement through product expertise, the growing role of artificial intelligence in retail operations, and the ongoing challenges surrounding age verification requirements and banking access.
The first seminar, “Increase Your Retail Knowledge for Brick and Mortar Stores,” is set for the morning of July 13 before the show floor opens. Among the featured speakers is Erotech’s Zondre Watson, who will discuss a retail-focused AI solution developed to help streamline store operations. The program will also feature sex educator Javay Frye-Nekrasova, widely known as “The Millennial Sexpert,” alongside industry veteran Kim Airs. Together, they will examine three product categories that remain essential areas of expertise for retail staff: G-spot products, anal pleasure, and BDSM.
The second session, the “AV and the Novelty Industry Legal Panel,” will take place on July 14 and focus on regulatory and financial issues impacting the industry. Discussions will cover the evolving landscape of age verification laws for online businesses as well as banking and payment-processing challenges that continue to affect retailers and manufacturers alike.
The legal panel will feature veteran attorney Jeffrey Douglas, a longtime advocate for the adult industry and former chair of the Free Speech Coalition Board of Directors. He will be joined by Meghan Lyon, Membership Director at the Free Speech Coalition, who works to expand industry education and outreach initiatives through both FSC and the Sexual Wellness Professional Alliance (SWPA). Also participating is Lucy Luna Trim, Senior Account Executive at GOAT Payments, who will provide insight into payment-processing and banking hurdles specific to the sector.
In addition, David Eliason of Dick and Jane’s Naughty Spots will contribute to both seminars, drawing on decades of retail experience and free speech advocacy to offer practical perspectives on the issues being discussed.
